In August, Spanish financial daily Cinco Dias (circulation 28,000), owned by Spain's Grupo Prisa, stopped publication of a four page Wall Street Journal insert. Cinco Dias had published the insert, edited by The Wall Street Journal Americas' New York team, since 1997, and was the only newspaper in Spain to carry these branded pages. Dow Jones, publisher of The Wall Street Journal Americas, has agreements with more than twenty major newspapers in Latin America, who publish these inserts in Spanish and Portuguese.

…and a new relationship.

Cinco Días announced a new agreement with Executive Excellence magazine. The magazine's Spanish edition, published by Provo, Utah-based Executive Excellence Publishing, will appear as a monthly insert in Cinco Dias. Advila Europe and AMB will launch the publication and sell advertising space and sponsorships. With the new agreement with Cinco Dias, the Spanish edition of Executive Excellence increases its circulation to 65,000 copies. Executive Excellence targets executives interested in new management strategies, covering topics such as leadership, time-management, team building, social responsibility and managing change. Spanish authors will contribute articles to the publication, said Javier Vila, editor of the Spanish edition of Executive Excellence>
