Argentine daily newspaper La Nación recently bought the online auctioneer DeRemate.com's Argentinean and Chilean websites (https://www.deremate.com.ar, https://www.deremate.cl ) Gabriel Dantur, research and development manager at La Nación, tells Portada. La Nación intends to convert some of its website traffic into auction site traffic. It will soon launch a new brand (Dereto.com.ar) and expand across Latin America.
Ebay, through its Latin American subsidiary MercadoLibre.com recently bought DeRemate.com's websites in Venezuela, Uruguay, Peru, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, and Brazil.
