Israeli affiliate marketing company Adsmarket plans to open an office in Mexico in the second half of 2010, says José Luis Valdivielso, CEO of Adsmarket Latam, who also oversees the company’s operations in Spain. The Mexico office will be the first of two offices the online marketing company plans to open in Latin America, with another scheduled to open in Brazil next year.
These markets were chosen both for their population size – about 111 million people in Mexico and approximately 190 million in Brazil – as well as the increase in internet penetration and online ad spending in the two countries. Valdivielso says both markets also offer additional opportunities to a specialist such as Adsmarket, since affiliate marketing is still relatively undeveloped there.
The opening of future offices will not be limited to these two markets. In fact, Adsmarket Latam says it does not exclude expanding its presence to other countries if conditions and expansion growth prove favorable.
According to CEO Valdivielso, the sectors with the greatest potential in Latin America for this type of online marketing specialty are the travel industry, financial institutions (both credit card companies and banks), and the education/training field, in all its forms.
In 2009, the Israeli company had a turnover of US$ 65 million, 75% of which was generated outside Israel, mainly in the European market.
