We got it wrong in the news item about soccer personality “Fernando Fiore leaving Univision” in this week’s “Changing Places” section. We misread his Tweets about the 2014 World Cup being his last World Cup at Univision implying he is leaving the broadcaster. (Obviously since Telemundo has the rights for the 2018 and 2022 Soccer World Cup it is unlikely that Fiore will be again at a World Cup for Univision).
All we know is this: Talent Management and Entertainment Marketing firm LatinWe is currently negotiating Fernando Fiore’s professional future with Univision. Right now Fiore continues to be a Univision staff member. As the negotiations continue, this may or may not change soon. But that is the situation now. Stay tuned.
