The new Spanish edition of Prevention en Español, will tap into more than 10 million Hispanic homes with a monthly circulation of 60,000 issues (on sale now, $2.50 US.). The Brand Manager of Prevention en Español will be Patrick Holmes, a sales oriented publishing executive who since 1980 has been involved in advertising sales in South Florida.

This is part of a broader agreement between Editorial Televisa and Rodale Inc., International to publish Spanish-language editions of Rodale's magazine titles in the United States and Latin American markets.

According to sources at Editorial Televisa, Prevention en Español will deliver clear, concise, and definite health and wellness information, filling an existing void in the Latin market which is somewhat underserved in these fields despite a very strong interest among readers. Event thought Hisapnics spend close to US $15 billion a year on prescription drugs, media targeting Spanish-speaking audiences has not been able to cptura sizable advertising revenues. This is particularly true for print advertising.
