San Diego Publisher Launches Effort for Newspaper Name Change

Diario Latino launched a strategic campaign for its name change.

“As part of its strategic campaign for 2006 in adopting and implementing a new name, Diario Latino has launched PONLE LA SALSA AL DIARIO (“Add the Salsa to Diario”) a first effort event which invites the community at large to be a part of the change by participating and submitting thru vote by December 9th until 1:00 p.m., their favorite new name; Diario Contigo, Diario Noticias or Diario San Diego”, announced Jose Santiago Healy, President and Publisher of Diario Latino.

“This is an honest attempt to create a new image and let the community decide which name they think best suits the newspaper. We want to emphasize the message that the newspaper will continue to be the voice of our community by asking them to be part of the whole transformation process,” explained Healy. The winner of PONLE LA SALSA AL DIARIO (Add the Salsa to Diario) will be selected on December 12, 2005.
