Tuscaloosa (AL) based Randall Publishing launched Truckers News en Español, the only publication exclusively targeting Hispanic truck drivers. The new pub will be distributed at premiere truck stops nationwide. The Spanish language magazine, which has a circulation of 50,000, provides information to U.S.-based truck drivers who prefer to read in Spanish. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 15% of the nation's 3.2 million truck drivers are Hispanic. “Hispanic truckers are becoming an increasingly large and important part of our industry,” says Robert Lake, vice president and group publisher of Randall's Truck Stop Division. Randall Publishing chose communications firm TransPerfect Translations to adapt and translate Truckers News en Español for the Hispanic market. The debut issue features articles translated from Randall Publishing's Truckers News magazine. Original content for the Hispanic market will be added in later issues. Truckers News en Español will be distributed by Randall's Truck Stop Express Division, which hand-delivers the publications to truck stops. Randall Publishing produces more than 30 magazines, directories, periodicals and websites.
