For HYP's ninth edition of its Directorio en Español yellow pages, it decided to hold the “Arte de America Hispana” contest to choose the directory's front-cover artwork. A $3,000 award backed the contest.
The award was presented at an event that was sponsored by Azteca America 26 KODF, The Art Institute of Dallas and State Farm.
The directory is being distributed door-to-door in heavily Hispanic neighborhoods. The number of Hispanics who work in the Greater Dallas area is estimated to number almost a million.
