Last August, Carmen's Cupones y Consejos did the first of two drops containing El Premio de La Gente ballots. Three million envelopes were mailed to potential voters throughout the country. The second drop will take place in November. Last year, El Premio de la Gente partnered with Yahoo en español to provide online ballots. El Premio de la Gente will not work with Yahoo this year. It will rely on more than 1700 fan clubs. These fan clubs will play an important role in the online voting process. (For more information on last year's online and mail-in response rates, see ‘“El Premio de la Gente” obtains high response rates that differ between markets,' page 23, Portada® No. 13, January 2005).
