Dallas' El Hispano News (weekly, circ. 35,000, Spanish) is organizing a parent involvement program called “Parents Step Ahead,” in an effort to provide those parents with the tools to become more involved with their children's personal and educational development.
The program will take place at three separate elementary schools in primarily Hispanic areas of Dallas on Saturday, November 4, from 7:30 AM to noon.
Some of the topics covered will be financial literacy, test-taking skills, Internet safety, the dangers of underage drinking and more. The program is being sponsored by United Healthcare with support of the Dallas Independent School District and the NAHP.
