Editorial Televisa named David Taggart as General Manager for the “Zona Norte” (US, Puerto Rico and Central America) in addition to his current role as Group Publisher. This new role for Mr. Taggart involves overseeing all commercial and operating divisions in the company's “Zona Norte”.
Additionally, Ernesto Cervantes was named Director of Planning and Strategy for Editorial Televisa, assuming the responsibilities of acquisitions and partner business management in addition to his current position of Chief Operating Officer for the “Zona Norte”.
Guillermo Plehn, current Regional Sales Manager for the East Coast, will assume the position of Sales Director for the US, overseeing all ad sales and marketing operations.
Adriana Dominguez joined HarperCollins Children's Books as executive editor, managing the Spanish-language children's publishing program. In her new role, she will work closely with HarperCollins' Rayo imprint, which also is based in New York. Until recently Dominguez was the children's review editor at Críticas, Publishers Weekly's English-language sister publication that covered the Spanish-language book industry. She also has worked in the educational publishing divisions of Scholastic, McGraw-Hill, Santillana, Harcourt and Random House.
People en español appointed Michael Miller as national advertising sales director. In his new position, Miller will be responsible for spearheading the magazine's national advertising sales efforts, in addition to managing and directing the national ad sales team. A Time Inc. veteran, Miller brings more than 11 years of magazine and sales experience to his new role.
