Home and lifestyle magazine Casa y Hogar has ceased its print publication and is in the process of reorganizing its business model.

"We are currently in the process of transitioning from what is primarily a printed product with an online component to what will be primarily an online product with a print component," says Filiberto Fernandez, publisher and CEO of Casa y Hogar.

Casa y Hogar printed its last bimonthly issue in October/November of this year. Fernandez tells Portada that when the print edition does resume, it will likely have a much lower circulation than the 998,000 copies that it had distributed as inserts through a dozen Spanish-language papers.

"One thing we are looking at is how we'll distribute the magazine when we do resume," Fernandez tells Portada. "We're looking at whether it makes more sense to distribute in a paid circulation vs. controlled circulation, subscription vs. newsstand, etc. It's too early to tell."
