The American Cancer Society is running a direct mail campaign that targets U.S. Hispanics in their “Cruzada Annual”—or annual fundraising crusade. The piece is executed entirely in Spanish and was sent out in late November.
The mail piece measures 4.12” by 9.00” and was sent in package format. The upper left-hand corner of the envelope is emblazoned with the organization’s Spanish-language logo, which reads, “Sociedad Americano del Cancer.”
The return envelope is addressed to the ACS’ Puerto Rico office in San Juan, although the mailing originated in Atlanta. On the back of the envelope there is an announcement that reads “Take Control of Your Health,” and offers tips on how to avoid getting cancer, such as: not smoking, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly and other precautions.
The American Cancer Society's international mission concentrates on capacity-building in developing cancer societies and on collaboration with other cancer-related organizations throughout the world in carrying out shared strategic directions.
