Telemundo announced today that Michael Alvarez has been named Vice President of Advertising Sales for Telemundo. Alvarez will report to Michael Rodriguez, Senior Vice President of Network Ad Sales, Telemundo.
In this position, Alvarez will serve as a sales lead for the Telemundo Network Sales New York office. He will co-lead the New York region advertising and sponsorship revenue generation for Telemundo Network properties and will manage a team of Account Managers for the New York region.
Alvarez joins Telemundo from Intersport, a producer of sports content and events in the United States, where he was Senior Vice President of Branded Content and Sponsorships for the last two and a half years. In charge of the New York market, Alvarez created award winning and industry recognized original programs for clients such as Chase, Sears and Abbott Labs.
