Spanish media group Sogecable's Prisa division, one of the owners of US Hispanic broadcaste network Vme, has named Manuel Polanco as its new president and changed the branding around the Sogecable name.

Polanco replaces Rodolfo Martín Villa. This way Sogecable has adapted its Board of Directors to the company's new goals by turning into the audiovisual holding of Prisa and that at the same time will take of its audiovisual investments.

In the reorganisation, Sogecable will henceforth be known as Prisa-TV and the portfolio will include pay-TV platform Digital+, national free-to-air channel Cuatro, Portuguese speaking Digital+, channel TVI, Plural producing company and North American TV channel Vme.

Prisa's new president declared the group's audiovisual activity is already the company's main income source. That is the reason Sogecable has started a series of operations to expand its network in the Spanish and Portuguese Speaking world.
