Due to a change in strategy at Hewlett Packard, Kathleen Halley’s position as director of Multicultural Marketing at Hewlett Packard has been eliminated, Halley tells Portada.
Orlando Hidalgo, is the new marketing manager of both Jumba Media Group and US Media Consulting, he replaces Paola Sanchez, who leaves the company to work independently.
Maria Rodas is the new manager for Que Rica Vida, a General Mills custom publication and website targeting Hispanics, Rodolfo Rodriguez, Multicultural Marketing Director at General Mills, tells Portada that Rodas brings a wealth of marketing expertise to Que Rica Vida. Rodas replaces Ursula Mejia Melgar, who since September 1, is Head of Digital, In-Store and Social Marketing Communication at CPW (Cereal partners Worldwide) a General Mills -Nestle joint venture which is the world’s number two breakfast cereals producer. Mejia Melgar is based in Switzerland.
LatinWorks hired Victor Paredes and Monica Sanchez as VP, group account director and strategic planning, respectively. Paredes has previously worked for Vidal Partership New York, whit brands like Cadbury, Caress, Kraft and Mastercard. Paredes will be in charge of the strategic marketing for Hispanics at Kimberly-Clark and Lowe´s.
Sanchez has worked for Collider Media for about 15 years, now will be in charge of Hispanic marketing planning at Kimberly-Clark, Lowe´s and Marsharlls.
Donna Hernández has joined Eclipse Marketing Services, Inc. as Editor-in-Chief of its quarterly, bilingual magazine, Nexos Latinos™. Hernández will spearhead the content and editorial deliverables for the magazine. Margaret Boller, Founder and President of Eclipse Marketing Services, made the announcement.
Stephen Burke has been named chief executive of NBC Universal, after Comcast’s acquisition of a controlling share in the company from General Electric. Burke leaves Comcast as chief operating officer to take up the position, succeeding president and CEO Jeff Zucker.
