A unit of Omnicom Group Inc, Diversified Agency Services (DAS), recently acquired an equity interest in LatinWorks, the Austin-based Hispanic Marketing agency.

Carmen Baez, DAS' President for Latin America and multicultural markets said that LatinWorks “uniqueness' and “killer creative” were big reasons behind the move to acquire the interest in the company.
For their part, co-founders Manny Flores and Alejandro Ruelas view DAS' backing as a means to bring the work that they have been doing to another level, and to build on their years of experiences together, which began at Anheuser-Busch as marketing executives

“We felt that we were at the point that in order to exponentially grow our business, we needed to partner with someone that could give us access to an extensive client roster, Global agencies such as BBDO, national agencies like GSDM, and whose integrity and ethics were in-line with our own,” says Flores. “We did our homework and were really impressed with DAS' work and business philosophy.”
