AB InBev is planning to buy the rest of the 50% that doesn´t own of Grupo Modelo.

The potential deal is estimated in more than 10 billion.

Mexican Grupo Modelo, the brewery behind Corona, has a market value of approximately $23bn. AB InBev, which makes Budweiser, Stella Artois and Becks, gained a non-controlling 50% stake in Modelo when InBev bought Aneheuser-Busch in 2008. Modelo saw annual revenues of approximately $1.33bn in 2011 and imports its brands into the US through Constellation Brands.

AB InBev is the largest brewer in the world with approximately 18.3% of the global market share of beer in 2011 according to Euromonitor International. In April, AB InBev reported profits of $1.67bn for the first quarter of 2012. The brewery also acquired a controlling stake in Dominican Republic-based Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana for approximately $1.2bn.
