starMedia and The Weather Channel Interactive have joined forces to launch starMedia Clima, a new online weather service. starMedia Clima is powered by TWCi, The Weather Channel’s interactive wing.
“The structure of the deal is that Weather Channel is the exclusive content provider of starMedia Clima,” says CEO Juan Jose Nunez. “With this agreement starMedia partners with the best weather content provider in the world, giving our users the best and most complete weather content they can find in the Internet, such as full access to international weather content, extended forecasts, radar images and real-time weather, among others.”
The new channel also features Fahrenheit to Celsius weather converter as well as maps and information specifically focused on topics such as travel and health.
“You can go from starMedia Clima’s home page to any region in the world where you want to see the weather, by clicking your region of choice in the map provided in the search box. starMedia is one of the leading portals in the US Hispanic and Latin American markets, so every country's home page displays the weather for that specific country, providing unique and focused information for our audience.”
