  • Pampers

Pampers, the diaper brand, announced the start of a new campaign aimed to Hispanics. The campaign provides new resources and support for Latina moms and their babies in their communities.

To mark the campaign launch, dozens of Los Angeles Hispanic moms and babies joined Pampers and the urban artists known as Retna and El Mac for a celebratory event at MacArthur Park Primary Center in Los Angeles, a pre-school and kindergarten center with a 95 percent Hispanic student population. Pampers introduced the different campaign elements at the event.

  • 7-Eleven

7-Eleven, Inc. announced that it has agreed to acquire ExxonMobil's retail interests in 183 Florida sites. The transaction is anticipated to close early in 2011, subject to standard closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

The majority of locations will be rebranded as 7-Eleven® operations, and all will retain the Mobil gasoline brand.

 

  • Connecticut Higher Education Trust

State Treasurer Denise L. Nappier has announced that a web site for the Connecticut Higher Education Trust (CHET) direct-sold 529 college savings plan is now available in Spanish. The site, aboutchet-espanol.com provides the Spanish-speaking community in Connecticut with information about saving for college and the 529 college savings plan.

In 2011 the site will be expanded and will contain more specific information about CHET and the tax advantages and low fees available to families who invest in the direct-sold program. Marketing materials in Spanish will be available for distribution at that time.

  • Time Warner Cable

Time Warner Cable has continued the rollout of its Hispanic digital tier with the recent addition of the programming in South CarolinaClick here!. Time Warner Cable has previously launched "El Paquetazo," which means "The Big Package," in some areas of California and New York City.

El Paquetazo features Spanish-language and English programming, including sports, movies, novelas, concerts, news, music and specials.

Earlier this year, Time Warner Cable Carolinas launched its entire website in Spanish.

  • Girl Scouts of the USA

Girl Scouts of the USA is looking for a senior brand manager to lead all Hispanic marketing initiatives for the premier organization. The responsibilities for the position are: direct marketing and generation of volunteers and members and volunteer and member engagement strategies, development of short- and long-range marketing priorities, activities, materials and programs for the Hispanic market, while working on media planning and placements.
