The Cleveland Indians announced the launch of their Spanish-language Spring Training webpages on, which can be found at These pages feature all Indians Spring Training information, including news stories, Goodyear Ballpark details, ticket information and even the ability to purchase tickets in Spanish.

PGA seeks to boost presence among U.S. Hispanics. Earlier this month the PGA committed $50,000 to the Lorena Ochoa Golf Foundation to support the creation of a network of “ambassador” facilities to offer low-cost instruction by PGA professionals. These facilities, says the PGA, will support neighborhood events and bring mobile golf experiences to local communities, mostly in U.S. Hispanic neighborhoods.

American Honda Motor Co. and Telemundo announced their partnership on a promotional campaign centered on the network’s production, La Reina del Sur (The Queen of the South). This marks the third major partnership for Telemundo and Honda.

Available in seven markets across the U.S., including Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Dallas, Houston, Chicago and San Francisco, the promotion featured a custom microsite at for viewers to log on and enter the sweepstakes. Telemundo also produced four 2-minute webisodes exclusive to the microsite, containing behind-the-scenes footage from the making of La Reina del Sur, shot especially for this campaign. Webisodes will be available on the microsite through March 2011.

  • is expanding its services to the Latino community again. Earlier in 2010, began offering bilingual services with the addition of Angie Perez, who heads up the sales force in Northern California. Now, is expanding its reach by offering health insurance content (Seguro Medico) on the web in Spanish.

  • CiCi's Pizza

Coppell-based CiCi's Pizza, announced it has signed agreements for the addition of 16 units over the next five years and hired Wingstop veteran Bruce Evans to lead franchise sales. The moves are part of CiCi's growth initiative, with the goal of adding 500 restaurants in the next eight to 10 years.

All 16 restaurants will open in the Houston and San Antonio areas. The restaurants will be built by current franchisees Tommy and Tami Marlin and Guillermo Perales, who leads Mucho Pizza, a subsidiary of CG Management. Mucho Pizza already operates more than 50 CiCi's restaurants in Texas and Maryland.
