  • Mediacom Brazil
    MediaCom Sport is opening an office in Brazil within the next three months. The agency also just opened a Moscow office led by appointed Ken Crease, the former managing director of Sport Media Group, to lead its Moscow office. MediaCom Sport offers four key areas of services: strategic advice, rights negotiation, rights activation and measurement.
  • JW Marriott/Marriott International
    JW Marriott Hotels and Resorts is set to open its fifth property in Panama with the launch of the JW Marriott Panama Golf and Beach Resort. The group will convert the existing 118-room Bristol Buenaventura property into a luxury resort, which will include an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, a luxury spa, extensive health and fitness amenities and five restaurants.
    Separately, Marriott International announced that it has appointed Grey New York as its lead creative ad agency. It is expected that Grey will begin working on Marriot's $20m creative account next month. The agency was selected following a pitch against JWT and incumbent Mcgarrybowen. Starcom buys media for Marriott in Latin America.
  • Bacardi
    Bacardi has called for a review of its global advertising business, one year after the account was won by New York based Johannes Leonardo. Johannes Leonardo won the account from incumbent Y&R, who had held the account since 2005. Bacardi is inviting agencies to pitch for the global creative account of its main rum brand, with the account to cover advertising creative only.
  • Proximia Colombia
    Havas Media agency Proximia has opened three new offices in Colombia. In Barranquilla, Pereira, and Bucaramanga offices have been opened to serve advertisers needs in those regions. Andrea Sarmiento leads Proximia Colombia.
