The tech giant is holding talks with agencies regarding a range of briefs surrounding the promotion of its consoles and the launch of new games. Meetings have been held with a number of shops over the past few weeks, and a pitch process is expected to take place later in the summer.

Tourism Australia has appointed OMD for its global media services account, covering media planning and buying, search marketing and optimisation, and social media marketing. The full account is worth US$190m, according to media reports. Andrew McEvoy, managing director, Tourism Australia, said OMD will take over from Carat after the expiry of its existing contract.

The acquisition creates one of the premier global online and television advertising technology companies.
