Maribel Viteri was appointed as Latin American Marketing Director at Molson Coors. She will start her new job in August. Currently Viteri is the International Marketing Director at Flor de Caña.
- Aspect / Corsidian – Latin America
Aspect, a provider of customer contact and Microsoft platform solutions, announced the acquisition of the Corsidian businesses in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Puerto Rico (together, "Corsidian").
- Nokia / Inferno – Global
Nokia has appointed London integrated agency Inferno to handle an estimated US$ 130 million global brand campaign. The agency have won the brief following a competitive pitch against Nokia’s global roster agencies including Wieden & Kennedy. The campaign is expected to promote Nokia’s first phone running on the Windows 7 operating system. Inferno’s capture of the new account follows its appointment to Nokia’s global business-to-business account in June. The agency also works with Nokia on the mobile company’s retail ad business.

- Aegis / Synovate / Ipsos – Global
Aegis has agreed to sell its market research division Synovate to french research company Ipsos for $858.2m. The deal, which puts an end to speculation over the future of Synovate, is expected to see Aegis focus on its media buying and digital marketing business. Ipsos, meanwhile, becomes the world’s third largest market research company by sales surpassing Germany-based Gfk. The company’s shareholders will contribute around $289m toward the purchase with around a further $361m as debt.
- MV42 – Latin America
Guillermo Abud is the new VP Digital Director for MV42 at MediaVest in New York until recently he worked as Senior Director at Starcom Mediavest Latin America in Mexico City.
- AOL – Global
AOL’s head of global sales Jeff Levick is to depart the company following a management shake-up. The reshuffle, which also sees head of public relations Lauren Hurvitz and human resources head Kathy Andreasen also depart, will see the company reorganise its sales staff and Advertising.com into a combined division to be run by chief revenue officer Ned Brody. Brody previously led Advertising.com and will now be responsible for all of AOL’s sales operations including online properties HuffingtonPost.com and AOL.com.
