  • Hilton – Mexico

Hilton Worldwide has signed a franchise development deal with GS Consorcio Hotelero S.A. de C.V. to open the first of three DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in Mexico. The DoubleTree by Hilton Querétaro is scheduled to open in Q2 2011 and will feature 100 guestrooms, a business centre, a health club and meeting room. It will be the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel to open in Mexico, with additional hotels opening in Merida and Mexico City later in the year. Hilton Worldwide has 22 hotels and resorts in Mexico.

  • Campari – Argentina

Campari Argentina — which, until recently, handled most of its media business in-house — has appointed Arena Media to handle its media account in Argentina. The pitch included several local media agencies.

  • Nextel – Brazil

Sunset Brazil extended its media duties within Nextel. The agency was already working along with Loducca, and as from now will be in charge of Nextel’s media business.

  • Turespaña – Spain

Turespaña chose MPG to handle media business for its next campaign, worth $522m. The work was designed to help reposition Spain as a high-end tourism destination. MPG will be in charge of coordinating media strategy on and offline, and will work with Havas Digital, Media Contacts, and Havas Sports & Entertainment. The campaign will run in over 25 countries, both in mature and emerging markets.

  • Tok Stok – Brazil

DDB Brazil has launched a new TV campaign for Tok Stok, the furniture producer. The spots presents the versatility of the Tok Stok´s furniture.
