• Baileys – Global

    Baileys is re launching a global campaign introducing its new strapline “Cream with Spirit”. Carat is in charge of the media planning and buying.

    The campaign started on October 7 and includes TV, print, cinema, outdoor and digital executions.

  • Unilever – Global

    Unilever announced the outcome of the global review of its media planning and buying agency services. The review was initiated in early 2012.

    WPP's media agency Mindshare has been appointed in The Caribbean, Spain and US. Also in the following countries:

    • Europe: UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia.
    • North America: US, Canada and Caribbean.
    • Asia: Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Viet Nam, Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
    • Africa: South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.

IPG's media agency Initiative has been appointed in Latin America: all countries (including Mexico), excluding Brazil. Also IPG will manage the account in Greece, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

At the same time Unilever has appointed PHD to handle Global Communication Planning for all Personal Care, Refreshment, Foods and Homecare brands.

Global Planning for Household Care will be managed by Initiative, as part of an integrated IPG solution.

Omnicom's media agency PHD has been appointed in:

  • Europe: Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Asia: China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and New Zealand.

  • Ebay – Global

    Ebay has introduced “Feed ”, a curated list of items which the e-commerce giant believes will interest its users. The new feature is part of Ebay’s homepage redesign.

  • Publicis / Arachnid – Global

    Publicis Groupe announced the acquisition of 100% of Arachnid, a Malaysian digital agency. The agency will be rebranded Saatchi & Saatchi Arachnid, and becomes part of the Saatchi & Saatchi network in the Asia-Pacific region.

  • Xaxis – Global

    GroupM-owned audience buying company Xaxis has launched its operations in China, in an attempt to further its global expansion plans.

  • Samsung – Global

    Samsung Electronics has launched a music digital service for its Smart TV: “Spotify”. Spotify offers instant, on-demand access to a library of 18 million songs. In order to access the service, a user is required to download the Spotify app to their internet-connected Samsung Smart TV, Blu-ray player or home theatre system, and log on.
