DGWB Advertising and Communications announced the acquisition of Argus Interactive Agency. Santa Ana-based Argus Interactive is a web services firm with a full-service approach. Founded in 2002, their clients include mid to large corporations in a variety of industries, including healthcare, education, technology, publishing, real estate, finance and more.  

DGWB is the largest, privately owned full service advertising agency based in Orange County. Founded in January 1988, capabilities include General Market and Hispanic Advertising, Design, Promotions and Interactive Media. Clients include Toshiba Copiers, KFC, Wienerschnitzel, Power Automotive Group, Hilton Garden Inn, The California Avocado Commission, Children's Hospital of Orange County and Yamaha Home Entertainment. 

Argus Interactive Agency will be housed in DGWB's corporate headquarters.

  • SMD Digital

SMD Digital a Colombian digital agency based in Medellin is looking to internationalize some of the brands it buys media for, this is particularly the case of the “Chocolito” brand of Colombian chocolate producer “Nacional de Chocolates”. SMD Digital is helping to expand the Chocolito brand in the U.S. Hispanic market, Ecuador, Colombia, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. 

Nacional de Chocolates (brand Chocolitos),  is looking to internationalize the brand in Ecuador, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Haiti and the US Hispanic Market, Panama.

  • TIAA-CREF

TIAA-CREF announced its Spanish-language initiative to increase U.S. Hispanics/Latinos' access to retirement-planning information and tools, including a new Spanish-language website.

In addition, TIAA-CREF conducts Hispanic-market research and sponsors a number of Hispanic/Latino organizations. TIAA-CREF's new Spanish-language Website focuses on a retirement-planning relationship built on education, with emphasis on life stages such as "Starting Out," "Mid-Career," "Approaching Retirement" and "In Retirement." It also features a glossary of financial terms, answers to frequently asked questions about retirement and examples of retirement-saving tips.

  • Pearl Media

Pearl Media, an out-of-home advertising company that specializes in converting vacant retail storefronts into advertising opportunities, is now bringing this highly sought-after medium to targeted Hispanic communities. Read the full article here.

  • The Orlando Magic

The Magic have announced a new partnership with two multicultural marketing agencies. The team has retained Circulation Expertí, Ltd and Act-é Marketing Solutions to serve collectively as its multicultural marketing agencies. The agencies will provide public relations, advertising and marketing services to strengthen the Orlando Magic’s outreach across diverse communities throughout Central Florida. Read more here.

Solantic walk-in urgent care, Florida’s provider of urgent care, wellness, worker’s comp and occupational medicine services, announced the launch of its Solantic South Florida Spanish website.

The site was designed to accommodate the region’s large Spanish population. “With 25 percent of the Broward County population being of Hispanic or Latino origin, it was important to create a Spanish-language website”

  • Regence BlueCross BlueShield

As part of its Latino outreach efforts, Regence BlueCross BlueShield has launched a new company website in Spanish.

The Spanish website is the latest component of Regence's extensive campaign to help address Latino health disparities. Regence engages the Latino community to break down the linguistic and cultural barriers that make it difficult for many to understand the health insurance system in the U.S. Efforts include a Latino consejero (concierge) program, producing Spanish language health education radio and TV spots, launching a campaign honoring Latino community leaders, and designing health insurance products geared toward the Latino market.
