Hortensia Fuentes has been appointed as Managing Director of Business Development, Audience & Communication reporting to Kamal Bherwani, Prisa’s Chief Digital Officer, substituting Paul Westhorpe who leaves Prisa for personal reasons. Paul joined Prisa Digital in January, 2010 and during this period he has contributed to starting a number of projects, including Planeo, in the areas managed by him. Another announcement is that Alvaro Palacios, Director of Prisa Digital America, will report directly to Kamal Bherwani. By 2015. Prisa expects 70% of its digital revenues  to come from the U.S Hispanic market and Latin America.

Hortensia Fuentes has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration by Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, she has a PDD at IESE and a Masters from UOC in Society of Knowledge. Through her career in PRISA she has held different positions as Director, Marketing & Sales General Manager for EL PAÍS and General Manager for Box Publicidad. Previously she worked at LVMH Group and Procter&Gamble. This last year she has been part of the PRISA Digital team as responsible for Strategic Projects and Communication.

In her new position, Hortensia will be in charge of the areas of e-commerce, directed by Stephan Keschelis; audiences and online marketing, whose director is Carlos Relloso, and business development with Rafael de los Santos as director. She will also continue in charge of communication for PRISA Digital.
Hortensia and her team will work closely with the rest of the digital areas of the Company’s business units, as well as with PRISA Digital, with the objective of contributing to the transformation started by PRISA and the drive of its digital businesses.
