Voxy, a new language-learning service that turns real-world content into personalized language lessons, just hired Olivia Maloney. You are reading it in Portada first. Maloney, currently the VP of Sales at Batanga Network, will be joining Voxy as Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships. starting March 1. She will be based in New York City and will report to Voxy’s Founder and CEO Paul Gollash.

“We are thrilled to have Olivia joining the Voxy team in a full-time capacity. Maloney has been a long-time adviser to Voxy, and has been instrumental in helping shape our strategy thus far. She brings a wealth of experience in sales and marketing in the Hispanic market, and has a keen perspective on the rapidly evolving digital media landscape,” said Voxy CEO Paul Gollash.

In her new position, Maloney will be responsible for securing partnerships and developing new business for Voxy.com as the platform grows its user base. She will be charged with managing Voxy’s relationships with brands, agencies, content providers, and distribution partners.

While at Batanga, Maloney oversaw the company’s sales efforts in the eastern region of the United States and Texas. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Hispanic Sales & Solutions for AOL Latino, where she was responsible for all AOL client and advertising initiatives in the Hispanic space, including audience sales, strategy and ad products.
