Michele Azan, until recently Advertising Sales Director at Terra Networks , is SnagAJob.com’s new SVP of Advertising Sales. SnagaJob is an online media company that describes itself as the “#1 resource for the hourly worker.”
 
Snagajob has two revenue streams: online recruitment classifieds (approx. 60% of revenues) and online branding oriented advertising (display, e-mail advertising and lead generation), which accounts for approximately 40% of sales.
 
Azan tells Portada that 15% of the company’s audience is Hispanic and 42% is African American. “We target a unique niche of hourly employment seekers who want to find seasonal part-time work to supplement their income,” says Azan.
 
The company was started eight years ago by CEO Shawn Boyer and in 2006 received funding from VCs Adam Street Partners, Baird Venture Partners and CNB Capital.
 
It currently has 3.5 million unique users a month, of which 66% are female and 56% are 18%-34% old. “We basically reach a young female multicultural audience” Azan tells Portada.
