Vista Magazine, a dual language general interest magazine among Hispanics with a circulation of over 900,000, announces the hire of Marissa Rodriguez as Editorial Director. Beginning March 1, Rodriguez, reporting to Alberto Vourvoulias-Bush, impreMedia’s Corporate Executive Editor, will oversee all editorial matters related to Vista including editorial direction and management of its staff and contributors.
“Marissa Rodriguez is a dynamic editor with an eye for quality content and a remarkable feel for today’s Hispanic audience. She and Vista are a perfect fit,” said Alberto Vourvoulias-Bush.
Ms. Rodriguez was most recently Editor of Hispanic Magazine, the largest circulating English language lifestyle magazine in the U.S. with a circulation of 315,000, where she oversaw the editorial process from story development through page finalization. Prior to that responsibility, she was Production Editor of Hispanic Trends and Poder magazines, all of which are a division of Page One Media.
Ms. Rodriguez replaces Cathleen Farrell who has accepted a position as Chief, Communications Management Division with the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C. Monica Lozano, Senior Vice President of impreMedia will take on responsibility for the business management of Vista.
Rodriguez is a graduate of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas and received her Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.
