MTV Networks Latin America revealed figures that confirm its strong digital growth and the sustained growth of their online platforms. The MTV and Nickelodeon brands concentrate millions of Facebook and Twitter fans and generate thousands of downloads from users to devices such as the iPad, iPhone and iPod.
The MTV website has over 3 million fans and the official Twitter account, @MTVLatinAmerica, has nearly 300 thousand. Nickelodeon scored a record past January 20 when the SpongeBob application became the most downloaded application by kid users of the iPhone, iPod and iPad. The kids' channel site on Facebook has 700,000 fans, while the exclusive site of Sueña Conmigo, soytusuperstar.com, recorded over 17 million page views, with over 15 thousand fan clubs and over one million visits. In addition, Sueña Conmigo has a Facebook account with 250 thousand fans and over 6 thousand followers on Twitter (@SuenaConmigoOK).
In Brazil, Nickelodeon's Twitter (@NickelodeonBR) has over 53 thousand followers, which makes it the kids' channel with the largest number of followers in the country. In addition, Neopets Brasil traffic, the virtual pet website (www.neopets.com.br), has over 157 million page views, ranking as one of the world's top three countries in traffic for this property.
"The use of digital platforms reported by our young audience is currently huge," said Luis Goicouría, media digital vice president at MTV Networks Latin America. "From our position as cross-platform content producers, we are proud of the growth we have recently recorded, because this is an actual 360 audience approach."
