First Latino Latenight TV Show Gets the Axe

Telemundo has announced that “Mas Vale Tarde con Alex Cambert” will air its last episode May 8.The move is significant in that “Mas Vale Tarde” was the first Latino latenight television show ever produced.

According to a statement realeased by Telemundo, “The audience did not respond as we would have liked them to, and the show did not deliver the ratings performance we expected.”

Más vale tarde will be replaced by the sports program Titulares y más. No word yet on whether Telemundo plans to launch another latenight television show.
