GolinHarris appointed SVP Zandra Zuno to lead the agency's national Hispanic marketing practice, Confianza. Zuno, who previously split her time between Confianza and serving as the agency's marketing director, will now exclusively work to grow the practice, provide strategic counsel to clients, and lead business development. Another announcement of GolinHarris is the promotion of Idil Cakim to Senior Vice President. Cakim will work on social media marketing programs as well as emerging communications channels.
Oswald Mendez, US Hispanic market media executive at Vidal Partnership, is leaving the company after seven years. He leaves to set up his own business, to be called Collective Transformation.
The X-Change Corporation announced the resignation of Roberto Orci from its board of directors. Company President and CEO, Haviland Wright, Ph.D., said, "We announce with regret the resignation of Roberto Orci from our board”. President of Acento Mr. Orci, said that “his own board worried about a conflict of interest between their company and our own strategic direction."
The Association of Cable Communicators (ACC), has expanded and changed its advisory board, adding George Bodenheimer (ABC Sports); Mark Cuban (HDNet chairman); Bonnie Hammer (President NBC Universal Cable Entertainment); and Abbe Raven (A&E Television Networks CEO). The four new advisory members join Time Warner Cable chairman and CEO Glenn Britt; Cox Communications president Patrick Esser; C-SPAN Networks chairman and CEO Brian Lamb; National Cable & Telecommunications Association CEO Kyle McSlarrow; Rainbow Media Holdings CEO Josh Sapan; and Insight Communications vice chairman and CEO Michael Willner.
The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a nonprofit business advocacy organization, elected Paul E. Lima 3d chairman of the board. He succeeds Kenneth I. Trujillo, who becomes chairman emeritus. Lima is the founder and president of Lima Consulting Group. Trujillo is founding member of Trujillo Rodriguez & Richards, L.L.C.
