Orlando Hidalgo, is the new marketing manager of both Jumba Media Group and US Media Consulting, he replaces  Paola Sanchez, who leaves the company to work independently.

Stephen Burke has been named chief executive of NBC Universal, after Comcast’s acquisition of a controlling share in the company from General Electric. Burke leaves Comcast as chief operating officer to take up the position, succeeding president and CEO Jeff Zucker.

Headways Media, a German online marketing provider has recently opened an office in Monterrey, Mexico. From this office, Headways Media will serve the Mexican and Latin American market with sophisticated online marketing services. Iain McNamara will be in charge of the marketing office.

Arturo Jara Sanchez has been named Planning Director at Draftfcb México. Jara Sanchez has worked for Noble DMB&B, Saatchi & Saatchi Mexico and New York and Publicis Mexico.

McCann Erickson Argentina has appointed Paula Montes as new Account Director for Camel and Nestlé, and Emanuel Abeijon as Account Director for Gafa, GM and Cadbury. Both Montes and Abeijon will report to Virginia Roque, Group Account Director.

Leo Burnett Iberia has appointed Iñigo Rivera as Director Strategic Development. Rivera has been working independently for companies like Pernod Ricard, LVMH, BBVA, General Mills, among others.

Francisco Villamarín has been named Regional Manager for NorlopJWT in Ecuador. Villamarín will be based in Quito. He will be in charge of the strategic development for brands in Latin America.

Ezequiel Arbusti has been named General Manager at Terra Argentina. Terra has more than 70 millions unique users in Latin America and is one of the major on-line companies in the region.

Newsweek has promoted Rhona Murphy to the role of Newsweek’s global publisher. Murphy has been managing director of Newsweek since 2008. Prior to this she was international publisher, and associate publisher director of international sales.

The Brazilian agency, JWT, announced Fernanda Galluzzi, former McCann Río, as it’s the new account director.
