The AP elected Michael Golden and Katharine Weymouth as new Directors for its board. Michael is vice chairman of The New York Times Co. and president and chief operating officer for The New York Times Regional Media Group. Katharine is publisher of The Washington Post and CEO of Washington Post Media. They replace Boisfeuillet (Bo) Jones, vice chairman of The Washington Post Co. and H. Graham Woodlief, vice president of Media General Inc.

Liberman Broadcasting announced the appointment of Mark Huey to Vice President of National Sales for the Los Angeles market. He will be responsible for developing network and local sales opportunities and strategies for Estrella TV, and will report to Mike Reid, Executive Vice President of National Sales. “It’s an honor to be working with such a talented group at LBI Media and I look forward to representing the burgeoning network”, said Mr. Huey. Most recently, Mr. Huey served as a sales executive at Adlink Cable Advertising, LLC, a Los Angeles-based company owned by Time Warner, Charter Communications, and Cox Cable Communication.

ImpreMedia has named Liz Sarachek Blacker publisher of Vista Magazine, a bilingual magazine published 5 times a year with a circulation of 900,000. Blacker most recently served as senior vice president/digital sales for impreMedia Digital. Blacker will report to Monica Lozano, senior VP of publications for impreMedia and publisher and CEO of La Opinión. Blacker will oversee the development of short and long-term sales initiatives, content strategies for print, digital and mobile, marketing, distribution and production and will manage the magazine’s sales and editorial staffs.

Porter Novelli named Sonia Sroka as Vice President, U.S. Hispanic practice leader. This is a new post for the agency and represents the growing need for fully integrated Hispanic offerings for the agency's clients.  She is the lead of Porter Novelli's Diversity Council, a member of the Omnicom Diversity Development Advisory Committee and the national chair of the Public Relations Society of America's (PRSA) Diversity Committee. Sroka reports to Julie Winskie, Porter Novelli's president, global clients, in her client work and Anthony Viceroy, president, chief financial officer, in her diversity initiatives.

David Jones, Global CEO at Havas Worldwide and Euro RSCG Worldwide, announced two promotions: Matt Ryan, ex CMO Euro RSCG, President of Global Brands and Global CMO at Havas Worldwide. Naomi Troni, ex Business Director, as CMO at Euro RSCG (replacing Ryan).
