Scripps Senior Vice President of Newspapers Mark Contreras has been elected chairman of the Newspaper Association of America. The association made the announcement during its annual meeting and marketing conference mediaXchange in Orlando a few days ago.

Lopez Negrete Communications, Inc. announced the expansion of services with the creation of a music and content development unit. The department will be managed by Rudy Lopez-Negrete, he will be in charge of overseeing music and general entertainment and content initiatives for the agency and working directly with the brand and discipline teams within the agency. "I could not be more excited to join the Lopez Negrete team”, said Rudy Lopez-Negrete. 

Havas Worldwide appointed Mauricio Galvan, U.S. Hispanic market's creative director, and senior executive Leo Olper, to build a new Hispanic offering for Havas agencies, incorporating a former Euro RSCG Latino unit. Specific duties will include bolstering market agencies´ Hispanic capabilities and persuade clients to assign Latino business to them.

Larry Woodard leaves Publicis Groupe to form his own agency. Larry Woodard announced the formation of Graham Stanley Advertising with headquarters in New York. Woodard has been for the past decade, President, CEO and the driving force behind Vigilante Advertising, owned by French based holding company Publicis Groupe.

NY-based Launchpad Advertising announced the addition of Jason Prew as Senior Vice President, Group Director Jason will play a leadership role on the CenturyLink account as well as assisting the agency with other clients and new business efforts. Most recently, Jason served at Ogilvy as the midmarket Global Demand Programs Director for IBM, responsible for worldwide strategy development, Kodak retail business. Launchpad is based near Union Square in New York City. Current clients include CenturyLink, The Wall Street Journal, The Power of Fruit and Wooden Boat House.
