Vista Magazine, a dual language general interest magazine among Hispanics with a circulation of over 900,000 published by ImpreMedia, announced the hire of Marissa Rodriguez as Editorial Director. Beginning March 1, Rodriguez, reporting to Alberto Vourvoulias-Bush, impreMedia’s Corporate Executive Editor, will oversee all editorial matters related to Vistaincluding editorial direction and management of its staff and contributors.“Marissa Rodriguez is a dynamic editor with an eye for quality content and a remarkable feel for today’s Hispanic audience. She and Vista are a perfect fit,” said Alberto Vourvoulias-Bush. Ms. Rodriguez was most recently Editor of “Hispanic Magazine, the largest circulating English language lifestyle magazine in the U.S. with a circulation of 315,000, where she oversaw the editorial process from story development through page finalization. Ms. Rodriguez replaces Cathleen Farrell who has accepted a position as Chief, Communications Management Division with the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C. Monica Lozano, Senior Vice President of impreMedia will take on responsibility for the business management of Vista.

Centro, a media services and technology company, announced that it has hired former MySpace executive Brian Berner as its vice president of Midwest sales.  In his role, Berner will oversee the regional sales team and will leverage his extensive experience to drive new business and growth for Centro in the Midwest. Prior to joining Centro, Berner was the first sales person hired at the inception of social media giant MySpace, where he spearheaded nationwide sales efforts as senior territory manager. During his six and a half year tenure with the company, Berner rose through the ranks to become Midwest sales director where he assisted in opening and establishing MySpace’s Chicago sales office.

Gannett (Nyse: GCI) announced Marcia Bullard, president and CEO of USA WEEKEND, is retiring after 35 years with the company, effective March 31. USA WEEKEND Publisher Charles Gabrielson has been named president and publisher of the weekly magazine. USA WEEKEND is insertedin more than 700 newspapers and, with its affiliated Web site, reaches 44 million people every weekend. Under Bullard's guidance, USA WEEKEND's Make A Difference Day has become the nation's largest day of volunteering. "Marcia has had an extraordinary career with Gannett and she has been a driving force for the enduring success of USA WEEKEND. At the same time, Chuck has played an important role in USA WEEKEND's continued growth and his well-deserved promotion will provide a seamless transition," said Dave Hunke, president and publisher of USA TODAY.

Lotus Entravision Reps (LER) announced it has hired Scott Keeler as Vice President, Southwest Territory, effective immediately. Keeler will be responsible for managing LER's sales opportunities in the Southwest region and will report to Phillip Woodie, President of LER. "Scott is an accomplished sales veteran with an exceptional track record in the Hispanic media sector and we're pleased to welcome him to the Company," said Phillip Woodie, President of Lotus Entravision Reps. "We're confident in Scott's ability to create new advertising opportunities for our stations in the Southwest Territory and look forward to him bringing his expertise to our group."
