The Mobile Marketing Association has appointed Marcio Chaer as managing director for MMA Latin America. In his new position, Chaer will focus on the education of agencies and brands, and look to provide clear understanding of mobile marketing benefits, metrics and consumer privacy best practices.
Google has hired Getjar's chief marketing officer Patrick Mork to become its first marketing director for mobile apps. GetJar is an open app store for feature phones and smart phones alike, supporting iOS, Android, Blackberry, Java, Symbian and more. The cross-platform marketplace recently reached two billion downloads.
Ricardo Amaral is leaving the Brazilian agency Babel. Amaral founded the agency with Julio Anguita y Reginaldo Ferrando three years ago. Anguita will remain at the agency with the 72% and Ferrando with a 28%.
