Lara Migliassi has been promoted to VP, Corporate Marketing at Univision. She’ll continue to report to Ruth Gaviria, SVP Corporate Marketing.

Univision is setting up category teams in its client development team to focus on areas with major growth potential like auto, entertainment, restaurants and health care, Ad Age reports. For the auto team, Univision has hired 12 people who spent their careers on either the client or agency side in car marketing, including two researchers. The new auto team is headed by Paul Sellers, formerly VP-marketing at Hyundai. Univision has also hired Michele Kessler, former VP-global chocolate strategy at Mars, for the consumer-packaged-goods team, and Alex Galindez, who was director-multicultural marketing at Burger King, for the restaurant team.

Chris Peña is leaving his assistant news director position at WMAQ-5 in Chicago at the end of May to take a job at NBC news in New York.

Jorge Flo has been named PRISA Radio’s director of Music for America. With this appointment a boost is given to the development of music products, both on digital and analog platforms, in the Americas. In his new position, Flo will report to the Director of Music of PRISA Radio and will manage the implementation of the company’s musical formats in Latin America and the U.S. (See recent announcements in Prisa Digital)

Media2air Inc., a leader in video content production and service provider announced that Mark Pierce and John J Camarillo have been appointed to Media2air's board of directors.

 

Fox Hispanic Media has promoted two sales executives: Juan Vallejo to vice president of sales and Eddie Espinal to account executive.

 

Wing has added two new members to its media team. James Roberts as media supervisor and Jose Merino as media buyer.
Roberts, based out of San Francisco, and Merino, based out of Miami, will develop and implement media strategy for Wing clients including Reliant Energy, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Garick Corporation. Roberts will report to Wing’s Vice President of Communication Planning Enrique Dussan, and Merino reports to Roberts.

Rick Gomez has been named Vice president of Miller Coors effective July 13. Gomez will be responsible for overseeing the overall brand strategy and positioning for Coors Light and Coors Banquet.
Gomez comes to MillerCoors from Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo Inc., where he most recently served as vice president of marketing for waters, enhanced waters and juices. In the role, he managed the marketing mix for brands such as Propel, Sobe, Aquafina, Dole, Ocean Spray and Tropicana.
He previously served in a number of executive leadership roles with PepsiCo, including chief marketing officer of PepsiCo Food Service and chief marketing officer of Tropicana Beverages. Gomez began his career at Quaker Oats, where he held a variety of marketing leadership roles.

AudienceScience Board of Directors appointed Jeff Pullen as its New CEO.  Jeff Pullen has been named chief executive officer to lead the company with president Jeff Hirsch.
