Harumi Kimura, is the new Marketing Director for the Mont Blanc (LVMH) brand in Mexico.

Facebook has hired Alexandre Hohagen, the top Google executive in Latin America, to be its vice president for sales in the region. Mr. Hohagen had helped to establish Google’s Latin American offices some six years ago and later served as general manager of Google Brazil and then as vice president of Google Latin America.

Travel website TripAdvisor has hired Barbara Messing as its CMO. Messing will lead TripAdvisor's global marketing, including its CRM, SEM, traffic acquisition, mobile partnerships, brand development and experience, and PR.

Layla Caballero is the new Digital Account Director at Publicitas in Miami.

Antevenio, the multinational Spanish company, has announced the opening of a new office in Mexico to reach the Latin American region. The new office will be lead by Martha Carrasco.

Roberto Sroka is the new Director of online ad-network E-Viral in Miami (E-Viral just opened an office in Miami).

Universal Pictures International, the studio's overseas releasing unit headquartered in the U.K., has promoted Mauricio Duran to svp of Latin American marketing and distribution. Duran, who joined UPI in 2007 as vp of marketing and distribution for Latin America, will continue to report to Duncan Clark, vp of distribution, in his new position.

Avon Products announced a comprehensive management realignment. As part of the reorganization, the company said it is repositioning its six Commercial Business Units into two major business groups — the Developed Market Group and the Developing Market Group. In connection with these changes, Charles Herington, (age 51), Executive Vice President, Latin America and Central and Eastern Europe, has been named Executive Vice President of Avon's Developing Market Group. The Developing Market Group includes the Commercial Business Units of: Latin America; Central and Eastern Europe; and Asia Pacific(which will now include China).

Harris Corporation, an international communications and information technology company, has named Julio Villafane managing director of the Caribbean/Latin America region for its RF Communications business. In this role, Villafane will provide strategic direction and day-to-day management of all staff in the region, overseeing the regional headquarters in Miami as well as sales offices in Sao Paulo, Brazil;Santiago, Chile; and Mexico City.  He reports to Andy Start, president, international business unit, Harris RF Communications.

Greystar Resources has appointed David Heugh as Chief Operating Officer, effective March 7th, 2011. Mr. Heugh will be based at the Company's Bucaramanga office where he will be responsible for all Company operational activities in Colombia.

KineticD has announced the appointment of Lars Graefe as vice president of sales and business development. "With his respected reputation and impressive track record in successfully expanding OEM relationships, strategic alliances and technology partnerships, Lars is instrumental in helping to drive our global expansion.", said Jamie Brenzel, CEO of KineticD.

Volvo has hired ad agency executive Richard Monturo as its first head of global marketing, since being acquired by Chinese automotive manufacturer Geely. Monturo, who  joins from his position as executive director at Miami-based agency La Comunidad, will take on the role of vice-president for global marketing at Volvo Car Corporation. He will be based at the Swedish marque’s Gothenburg headquarters.
