What: Audio.ad has signed an exclusive representation agreement for Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market with XAPPmedia, a provider of interactive audio advertising and content promotion solutions.
Why it matters: Audio.ad will offer XAPP Ads® that enable mobile consumers of music streaming services and other audio apps to interact with advertising simply by speaking.
Audio.ad, a Cisneros Interactive company specialized in digital audio advertising for brands and content producers, has signed an exclusive representation agreement for Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market with XAPPmedia, the inventor of interactive audio advertising and content promotion solutions.
Through this alliance, Audio.ad will exclusively commercialize in the region XAPPmedia’s interactive audio format that allows online radio, music streaming and podcast audiences to interact instantaneously with brands by simply speaking in response to prompted offers. XAPP Ads® prompt listeners with convenient ‘calls to action’ or verbal commands, such as: download app, send coupon, email me, go to advertiser’s website, connect to a call center, or take me to a retailer’s nearest location.
“For more than 80 years, radio advertising formats didn’t allow consumers to interact directly with commercial ads. Digital audio delivered through mobile devices has eliminated that barrier, however, mobile listeners don’t have visual contact with their telephone’s screen 87% of the time they spend listening. That means display ads have low response rates.” explained Gonzalo Alonso, Audio.ad’s Managing Director. “By contrast, XAPPmedia’s interactive audio ads enable a unique experience for digital audio consumers that ensures 100% ad exposure and frictionless engagement. When consumers hear a XAPP Ad on their mobile devices, they can access more information on a product or service instantaneously by simply repeating a prompted phrase. These new ‘voice clicks’ perform 13 times better than conventional ‘touch clicks’ in results measured in mobile devices in the United States.
“From Audio.ad’s standpoint, we are excited to bring this innovative technology to Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. It provides new ways to connect brands with their audiences, while improving the experience of digital audio listeners,” Alonso added in respect to the exclusive representation agreement with XAPPmedia.
Pat Higbie, XAPPmedia’s CEO and Co-founder, concluded: “Audio.ad provides access to an audience of over 55 million listeners in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market, providing substantial mobile consumer reach for advertisers. We consider Audio.ad an ideal strategic partner to continue our international expansion for interactive audio services.”
