The globally renown semiconductor technology player Advanced Micro Devices, Inc today declared that Ronaldo Miranda, 50, will join the company effective April 4 as vice president and general manager for AMD’s Latin America region.

For his new job in AMD, Miranda will be responsible for all of company’s business and operations in Brazil, Mexico, South and Central America and the Caribbean. He possesses more than 27 years of experience in sales and business operations management at various technology companies in Latin America.

Prior to this, Miranda was vice president for Samsung’s IT product division in Brazil where he was responsible for product definition and planning, marketing, sales and brand positioning. Moreover he remained with Intel for about 10 years and established its channel organization in Brazil.
