In addition to overseeing programming, production, promotions and operations for the company’s Super 22 channel, he will develop distribution and content strategies for its national expansion alongside Meruelo Media’s entertainment production business unit.Rodriguez served as Executive Vice President of Content for Discovery Networks International and as President and GM of the bilingual Qubo children’s network, a joint venture of Scholastic, NBC and ION Media.

Javier-Garcia-e1415215253259-224x300Javier Garcia joins Comcast Cable as Vice President and General Manager, Multicultural Services.He will report to Marcien Jenckes, Executive Vice President of Consumer Services for Comcast Cable .Garcia will be charge of directing, designing and implementing Comcast’s multicultural services strategy across all Xfinity products. In this role, he will drive the long-term product vision and strategy and collaborate with various Comcast divisions, regions and business unit partners .He spent 8 years at yahoo! as General Manager of U.S. Hispanic business and led monetization, partnerships and operations for the company’s media, programmatic, and native advertising businesses. He also served as the Senior Director of Marketing Solutions for Y! Hispanic.

He will report directly to Vice President & Executive Editor Kevin Jackson as well as advise Executive Vice President John Kosner on business strategies to better serve the domestic Hispanic audience.Balta’s priorities will be to target both English and Spanish speaking U.S. Hispanics across ESPN’s digital and print platforms. He will also be responsible for expanding ESPN’s efforts to serve sports fans worldwide by partnering with editorial leaders in Mexico and Latin America and across ESPN Deportes.Prior to joining ESPN in 2011, Hugo held several leadership roles at CBS, NBC, Telemundo and MSNBC over a career spanning 24 years.

225e486Debra Natasha Pogorelsky is no longer part of AdParlor, Inc.Since September 2014, the executive has joined Staterdaily, an Advertising and Marketing News & Employment portal for Latin America, as Contributing Writer and PROsimity.com as Marketing and Business Development Consultant. Pogorelsky joined Adparlor in 2013 to hold the position of Pan-Regional Sales Director, Latin America in Miami.

Brand culture and communications firm (add)ventures is expanding its Miami office with new additions:

Susan-Tremblay-3411941-220Sue Tremblay will be vice president of insights/analytics. Tremblay will oversee the Miami office and explore new partnerships and expansion opportunities. She will split her time between Providence and Miami. Prior to joining (add)ventures, Tremblay was vice president, account director at Nielsen in New York City. Sue previously served as the business development director of Nielsen’s Business Media unit.

A Miami resident, will operate from (add)ventures’ Miami office.He will be responsible for the strategic plans of (add)ventures’ Miami-based client partners. Prior to working at (add)ventures, Velez was the interactive marketing director for a cross-cultural marketing and branding firm. He also spent four years at Corporate Communications Inc., a full-service agency located in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Samsung Electronics is making changes to its U.S. marketing team:

descarga (1)Todd Pendleton, Samsung CMO of the U.S. mobile business, will now oversee creative content for mobile and other units. In addition to his role as CMO of STA, Pendleton is the chief creative officer for the combined businesses in the U.S.

They will both report to Gregory Lee, President and CEO Samsung Electronics North America
