Fernando Fiore_BW_100x100Sports journalist and celebrity Fernando Fiore is leaving Univision, Portada has heard.  At the end of the World Cup a week ago, the Argentinean sports journalist tweeted that “Personally, this was my seventh World Cup with Univision and most likely the last one for now.”  (Read Fiores’s complete series of tweets in Spanish).The 2014 World Cup was the last in which Univision held the Spanish-language TV Broadcast and digital rights.  Telemundo has the rights for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and as well as for the 2022 World Cup. (Fiore was a key speaker at the recent Portada Latam Advertising and Media Summit in Miami).

Otilia Amarandei is the new Digital Ad Sales Director and Partner at Rebel Ad Network. Based in Miami since 2010, Rebel Ad Network serves online inventory to the US general market, US Hispanic, Latin America and European markets. Amarandei previously worked at impreMedia where she served as digital account executive focusing on US Hispanic national sales.

descargaWalton Isaacson has named Lupe de los Santos as Senior Director, Hispanic Market Strategist .De los Santos will be based in Los Angeles and report to Rochelle Newman-Carrasco, EVP Hispanic Market Strategist.In addition to a strategic leadership role, de los Santos will be integral to business development of the agency’s Hispanic segment and related Total Market work. With over 20 years of experience at agencies such as The Vidal Partnership, Team Enterprises and DVC Worldwide, Lupe is expert in US Hispanic marketing, working with brands such as Tecate, Dos Equis, Direct TV, among others.

Ms. Tellado, currently vice president for global communications and an officer of the board at the Ford Foundation in New York, succeeds James Guest, who has led Consumer Reports since 2001.

Mr. Ramirez will take over as the new global chair of the board on January 1, 2015. As global chair, he will be responsible for finding new ways to extend charity outreach alongside RMHC leadership. Mr. Ramirez currently owns seven McDonald’s franchises near Sacramento, Calif., and first joined the fast-food chain in 1988. The following year he joined the board of RMHC of Northern California. Through this role he headed the fundraising efforts for Camp Ronald McDonald in Eagle Lake, Calif., and expanding help efforts in Mexico, Malta, Ecuador, Australia and Hong Kong.
