Two veteran executives at  The Vidal Partnership, Alberto Ferrer and Gustavo Carvajal, have left their  posts at the New York City-based agency, Portada  has learned.

La Voz de Houston (published by the The Houston Chronicle, Hearst)  is expanding its sales team. Andres Valdes has recently been hired as National Sales  Manager at the Houston Chronicle. Noel Lezama, Sales Specialist at The Houston Chronicle will work on La Voz projects together with Loida Ruiz, who will continue to work on sales strategy for La Voz together with the general market teams. In addition, Patricia Peña has just been named Senior Marketing Manager at Hearst Media Services . Peña was previously Senior Marketing Coordinator at Comcast. Before her stint at Comcast,Peña worked as Senior Marketing Coordinator at The Houston Chronicle. In addition

Oscar Leon Walker  is the new  Director of Sales at Adsmovil (a RedMas & Cisneros group of companies) based in New York City. Previously Walker worked as Director of Sales at EPMG.

Following the completion of the business combination, Peter Kern, Managing  Partner of InterMedia, will serve as Chairman of Hemisphere Media Group. Mr.  Kern has over 20 years of experience investing in, advising and operating a  variety of large and small media companies. Alan  Sokol, the former COO of  Telemundo, who has over 18 years of experience in the television and motion  picture industries as an operator, advisor and investor, will serve as Chief  Executive Officer of Hemisphere Media Group. Craig Fischer, who worked closely  with Mr. Sokol at InterMedia in overseeing these companies, will serve as  Hemisphere Media Group’s Chief Financial Officer. 

Andy Ocasio recently left his position as  Director of Business Development for Latam and USH at Turn, a   DSP (Demand Side Online Advertising Services Provider) targeting the Latam and USH Hispanic space.

Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic, has promtoed Carla Conde to VP of Corporate Communications based in Miami. Veteran Colombian TV producer and executive Cristina Palacio has been named President, Shine Hispanic & Latin America. Palacio, who reports to Ross, will oversee new Shine America offices in both Miami, Fla., and Bogota, Colombia, with programming distributed through Shine International.
Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic (DLA/USH), una división de  Discovery Communications, nombró a Carla Conde como nueva vicepresidenta de  Comunicaciones Corporativas para DLA/USH, y tendrá sus oficinas en Miami.
