965d646533d965ae_orgTelemundo Las Vegas / KBLR has announced that Alejandra Ortiz has been named News Co-Anchor for Noticiero Telemundo Las Vegas, which airs weekdays at 5:30 PM, 6 PM and 11 PM. Ortiz joins a dynamic team of journalists who deliver the local news and information that Spanish-language viewers in Las Vegas need to stay ahead. Ortiz will make her on-air debut on Monday, March 28.Ortiz joins Telemundo Las Vegas after working for CM& — the Colombian news network that was launched in the early 1990’s — for the past four years. Ortiz earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.

Jose Aguilar was named chief creative officer of Hispanic agency Wing. He was most recently executive creative director at Grey Mexico and prior to that was general creative director at Grey Peru. In all, he spent some 13 years at Grey agencies. He also held positions at Lowe Mexico and JWT Mexico.

descargaAndrew Polsky is the new Senior VP and head of U.S. Sales for Adsmovil, the market leader in mobile advertisement for the U.S. Hispanic market.Polsky takes over U.S. sales amid rapid growth.He will be based in New York City.Most recently Polsky was SVP of sales at Pulpo Media, where he managed a team of national sales directors and drove the ad network’s revenue growth, including desktop, mobile, programmatic and data solutions. descargaWanda Young has been named to the newly created position of senior VP, marketing and consumer engagement at ESPN. She will report to Ed Erhardt, president, global sales and marketing. She will be responsible for overseeing ESPN’s marketing, media, research and analytics and marketing solutions efforts. Young joins ESPN from Walmart, where she was VP media and digital marketing.

 

 

b5099_Organic-HiresDigital marketing agency Organic, part of Omnicom group, has appointed Kingsley Taylor as senior vice president, managing director of Organic San Francisco and promoted Jim Napolitano from vice president, client services to senior vice president, managing director of the Detroit office, according to Agency Spy.

Taylor will be in charge of overseeing account leadership and business development in Organic’s San Francisco office and leading the agency’s Wells Fargo account. He comes from MRY. Prior to that he spent four years at Ogilvy & Mather.

Napolitano joined Organic as senior project manager in 1999. He rejoined the agency in September of 2007 as director, engagement management.

 

ows_145861393294033Former McKinney executive creative director Peter Nicholson has joined Periscope as first chief creative officer.Nicholson will relocate in Minneapolis. Before joining McKinney, he served as chief creative officer at Publicis, Deutsch and JWT New York.

Univision Communications said Eric Ratchman has joined the media company as executive VP, content distribution.
Ratchman, previously senior VP of global distribution strategy and business development for Disney Media Networks, will report to Tonia O’Connor, chief commercial officer and president of content distribution for Univision. “Eric has more than a decade of experience in global content distribution strategy and business development. His background and expertise will add tremendous value as we continue to expand UCI’s growing portfolio of brands accessible anytime, anywhere,” O’Connor said. “Eric will play an integral role in evolving our relationships with both new and longstanding distribution partners and will be instrumental in negotiating critical distribution agreements for UCI’s stations, networks and content.”

Jesse Cahill was named North America head of media at GroupM’s digital agency Essence. He was previously North America head of planning. He’s been with Essence since 2012. Prior to that he was a digital group director at Omnicom Media Group and has also held positions at Mediacom LA, Beyond Interactive and MediaVest.
