  • Giacomo Capelettini – Argentina

La Virginia has appointed McCann Buenos Aires to work with the integral communication of its pasta brand “Giacomo Capelettini”. UM will be in charge of the media buying and planning. McCann will be in charge of the creative development and MRM, McCann´s digital agency, will be in charge of the planning at social networks and internet.

  • BandSports – Brazil

Ogilvy Brazil has launched the second part of the TV campaign for Bandsports.

  • Fila – Argentina

Salem Viale González Villanueva is the new agency for the Argentinean sports brand Fila. The agency will be in charge of the digital strategy, digital buying and planning (social networks, CRM, Hotsites, etc.)

  • BiscayneCapital – Latin America

Miami-headquartered wealth manager BiscayneCapital has launched a new advertising campaign across Latin America – a move which follows hot on the heels of its launch of a new office in Montevideo, Uruguay.

The new yearlong advertising campaign consists of a series of print advertisements aimed at both ultra high net worth families themselves and their advisors. The ads will run in a selection of luxury, lifestyle, travel and automotive publications, including Pluna, American Airlines" Nexos magazine and Forbes Argentina. The campaign will run in tandem with the firm's sponsorship of various sports events such as the Nokia Summer Cup in Punta del Este, Uruguay and the ProAm Charity Tennis Tournament in Key Biscayne, Florida.

The advertising campaign centers on the concept of "Valores" (Spanish for values) and the firm said in a statement that this plays to its core value of treating clients "like they are family."

  • Vodafone – Global

Vodafone is holding a pitch to find an agency for a new global Vodafone´s sponsorship. The chosen agency will be charged with helping to find an opportunity that could become Vodafone’s next global sponsorship. A range of sectors will be considered, including sport, music, entertainment, arts and culture.

The review does not affect Vodafone’s relationship with its media agency, OMD, or its creative agency, Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R. WPP operates Team Red, a bespoke unit for Vodafone, but the search extends beyond WPP agencies.

  • Kaspersky Lab – Global

Kaspersky Lab, the anti-virus software manufacturer, has appointed McCann London to its international advertising account, estimated to be worth around USD 24 million. McCann London won the business after a pitch, which kicked off in February, against OgilvyOne and Glue Isobar.

The previous global incumbent on the account was M&C Saatchi, but the agency did not repitch. McCann will now create a global digitally focused campaign for Kaspersky, encompassing digital display, online video, social media, print and outdoor.

  •  Adecco – Argentina

The Argentinean agency Quiroga has been appointed by Adecco as its media agency. Quiroga will be in charge of the media planning and buying for print media, radio, TV and outdoor advertising.

  • Adidas – Global

Adidas has appointed TBWAWorldwide to handle its global ad campaign for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The sportswear brand selected TBWAWorldwide, one of its roster agencies, after a final shootout against Mother and DDB. Sid Lee, which ran the Star Wars themed campaign for Adidas in the 2010 World Cup, was knocked out at an earlier stage of the pitching process along with BBH.

  • Runcom / Brightstar – Latin America

Runcom Appointed Brightstar as its Distributor for 4G Solutions in North and Latin America. Brightstar is a global service company focused on enhancing the performance and profitability of the key participants in the wireless device value chain and Runcom Technologies provides End-2-End 4G System solutions to operators worldwide as well as Mobile Surveillance products for Safe City solutions.

  • Speyside Corporate Relations

Speyside Corporate Relations, a Latin American corporate communications and government relations consultancy, has just opened a new office in the Dominican Republic, capitalizing on its momentum and growth throughout South and Central America.
