General Motors is placing in review its assignments to handle media planning and buying around the world, the bulk of which are handled by three major media agencies. In Latin America, media planning and buying are handled by the Universal McCann unit of the Interpublic Group of Companies.
- Corporation for Travel Promotion of the US – Global
JWT New York is to lead a global marketing campaign for the US after winning a pitch against two undisclosed agencies. JWT partnered with MediaCom and other WPP sister agencies, branding specialist The Brand Union and PR shop Hill & Knowlton, to land the account. The client, the Corporation for Travel Promotion, is a new body created to take a public/private partnership approach to attracting international visitors to the US. It has a $200m budget to back what it claims will be America's first ever global marketing campaign, which is expected to launch next year.

Kellogg has appointed data specialist Epsilon to build a global consumer website and customer relationship management and analytics platform.
- Coca- Cola – Brazil
W+K San Paulo was chosen to manage the next global Coca Cola campaign for the Soccer World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
- Xerox – Argentina
TCC La Factoria is the new agency for Xerox Argentina. The company has picked the agency after a pitch and will be in charge of the branding and corporate image and communication.
- Claro – Argentina
Claro has launched a new campaign in Argentina “Batalla de Juguetes” (“Battle of Toys”). The communication strategy includes a new interactive web site, where kids battle between them with toys, a TV spot in 2D and a 3D commercial to be displayed at cinemas. The agency in charge is BBDO Argentina.
