- Netflix / WPP – Latin America
Netflix has awarded media planning and buying duties to WPP’s MEC for the Latin American region where it is currently launching its service offering, according to sources.
The movie and TV program-distribution company just launched in South America earlier this week with service to Brazil. The company has indicated that it will expand to 43 countries throughout Latin America and the Caribbean this month, including Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Central America and Mexico among others.
- Fox Latin American Channels – Latin America
Fox Latin American Channels (FLAC) has opened a new business unit: FOX Licensing & Merchandising. The new department is in charge of promoting and expanding the content of FLAC in Latin America. The team will be lead by Fernando Semenzato as VP of Content, and Natalia Akel as Executive Director Licensing and Merchandising.

Regus, the office services supplier, is reviewing its international media planning and buying account. Currently, the company uses MEC Manchester as its UK media agency. The shop has worked on the business since 2008.
